  • R.I.M. Can we live without mobile devices?

    12 October 2011

You bet we can live without mobile devices. When BlackBerry services went down, life carried on.

    But we did slow down.

Maybe you think that’s a good thing. But you probably weren’t waiting for that crucial email. Sure, there are other ways to communicate. Communication behaviour changes quickly though. In just a few years, most people in organisations and businesses have now come to rely on mobile devices. Without instant access to data, we feel less well equipped. We delay making decisions. We take longer to do things because we wait to get back our clunky desktops.

Mobile devices have become part of our critical infrastructure. They still don’t actually do our work though.
